LISA LANZI (Arlene)
Lisa has worked across many areas of the performing arts, securing her first professional gigs at only eight years of age. After training extensively as a dancer in her home town of Sydney, Lisa worked as a freelance performer while completing a Diploma of Visual Arts and teaching dance at the Bodenweiser Dance Centre. After moving to Adelaide she completed a degree in Dance at Adelaide University and Diploma of Arts (Acting) at Adelaide College of the Arts. Since then Lisa has worked variously as teacher, performer, director or choreographer for Country Arts SA, Carclew Youth Arts Centre, State Theatre SA, Adelaide Festival and Fringe, Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Fringe, Adelaide University, Adelaide College of the Arts, Australian Dance Theatre and Singapore International Fringe Festival to name a few. She also co-founded dance theatre company Splinter and was a cabaret performer with The Tapperuccis for many years.Since 2010 Lisa has been co-director of BodySONG running community singing groups across Adelaide as well as a number of dance and theatre ventures for older people, those with disabilities, mental health issues, women in prison or those affected by homelessness. She is also regularly invited to perform, choreograph and direct work for various companies and institutions and is exploring new horizons in film and television.
